We only collect information that is necessary to power Rowr's core features and improve your experience:
Information You Voluntarily Provide
- Account information (if you choose to register): username, email address, and profile details you opt to share
- Digital closet content: all clothing photos, item tags (category, color, brand, fit notes), and metadata you upload to build your wardrobe
- Styling data: saved looks in your Outfit Archive, custom outfit combinations you assemble via Closet Pool, Lookbox Machine generation history, and scene preference tags (casual, work, party, etc.) you assign to items or outfits
- Feedback and support communications: any messages, bug reports, or feature requests you send to our team
Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
- Usage data: feature interaction metrics (e.g. how often you use Lookbox Machine, your most frequently used scene filters), app crash logs, and performance data to help us optimize Rowr's functionality
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data exclusively to deliver and enhance your Rowr experience:
- Power core product features: Run the Lookbox Machine to generate personalized outfit combinations from your wardrobe, sync your Outfit Archive across devices, enable Closet Pool manual styling, and support scene-based filtering to find outfits for any occasion
- Improve our services: Analyze anonymized usage patterns to refine outfit recommendation algorithms, add new category tags, and optimize feature usability
- Provide customer support: Respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot bugs, and resolve account issues
- Maintain security: Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized account access, and other harmful activity to protect you and the Rowr platform
- Send important service updates: We will only contact you with critical announcements related to your account or Rowr's functionality, and you can opt out of non-essential communications at any time
We will never use your personal wardrobe photos or individual styling data to train public-facing AI models without your explicit written consent.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
Rowr will never sell, rent, or lease your personal information, including your wardrobe content and styling data, to third parties for commercial purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With your explicit consent: If you choose to share outfits or wardrobe content with third parties via Rowr's share features, or if you explicitly approve a data sharing request
- With trusted service providers: We work with third-party vendors that provide core infrastructure for Rowr (e.g. cloud storage, app hosting, payment processing if you subscribe to premium features). All vendors are bound by strict data protection agreements, and are only permitted to access your data as necessary to deliver their services to us
- When required by applicable law: We will disclose your information if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Rowr, our users, or the public
5. Your Rights & Controls
You retain full ownership and control over all data you upload to Rowr. You can exercise the following rights at any time directly in the app or by contacting our support team:
- Access, edit, or delete individual clothing items, tags, or saved outfits from your digital closet and Outfit Archive
- Export a full copy of all your Rowr data (wardrobe content, styling history, account details) in a machine-readable format
- Request permanent deletion of your Rowr account and all associated data. We will delete all your data within 30 days of your request, with no residual copies retained unless required by law
- Opt out of non-essential usage data collection for product improvement purposes
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include end-to-end encryption for wardrobe content in transit, encrypted storage for all personal data, and regular security audits of our infrastructure.
While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your data, no electronic storage system or transmission method is 100% secure. We continuously update our security practices to mitigate emerging risks.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our product features, legal requirements, or data handling practices.
